Their battle cries a screaming <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was hand to hand as the battle raged <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They fought with sword and dagger <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With so many dead the burn ran red <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the deathly hellish clamour\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blooded and weary o’ the fray <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When sir Mantons force drew near <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When they knelt and bowed their heads to pray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fiery cross appeared <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though English charge was fierce and bold<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With new hearts the Scots were driven<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And they pushed and slashed and hewed them down<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No quarter asked or given\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They slew their captives some do say <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Sir Manton joined the game <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Douglas fought on the that day <\/p>\n\n\n\n

many voices make that claim <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we know for sure that the day was won <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Fraser, St Clair and the Comyn <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Segrave he fled but the rest lay dead <\/p>\n\n\n\n
